How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. If you haven’t received your order within 4 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@buynatas.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

I received my natas and they’re slightly thawed, what do I do?
No need to worry! This is common, especially during the summer months. You can place the natas in your freezer, or bake and enjoy; whichever you prefer. The quality and taste of the natas will not be compromised.

Where are the natas made?
Our natas are created and pre-baked in Portugal by Nata Pura, a local Portuguese company. They are made with real eggs, real milk and are GMO free, trans fat free and HFCS free. They’re also  BRC Food Certified, IFS Food Certified and Halal Certified. After they’re initially baked, the natas are blast frozen to preserve their high quality taste, and are shipped from Portugal to our warehouse in Massachusetts. The natas remain frozen throughout this entire process, and are also shipped to you with ice packs included.

How long do the natas last?
There are many benefits to blast freezing the natas, including that it preserves their high quality taste and lifespan. The natas have a shelf life of 12 months starting from the time they’re originally pre-baked in Portugal. You can continue to store your natas in your freezer up until the expiration date printed on the package. Once defrosted and baked, the natas need to be consumed within 48 hours.

What is your return policy?
Since our natas are perishable food items, they cannot be returned or exchanged. However, please email us at info@buynatas.com if you have questions or issues with your order.

Can I eat the natas right out of the box?
Not quite! But they’re super easy to prepare, we promise. All you need to do is bake your natas in the oven for about 15 minutes prior to serving.

How do I bake the natas?
You will need to bake the natas at 480°F for 12-15 minutes.

Should I serve the natas warm or cold?
The ultimate debate! This really just comes down to personal preference, they’re delicious both ways!

What’s the difference between Pastel de Nata and Pasteis de Nata?
Great question! They’re actually the same thing. Pastel de Nata is a singular pastry and Pasteis de Nata is the plural version, or multiple pastries.

Are the natas nut-free?
They may contain traces of hazelnuts, soy and sesame seeds. If you have a severe allergy to any of these items, we do not recommend consuming the natas.
